The direct interface for ANSYS Workbench supports the efficient optimization of engineering challenges involving ANSYS multiphysics simulation. It automates the creation of an engineering workflow that contains ANSYS Workbench model entries. A powerful embedded search engine offers dedicated filters, to simplify the selection of design parameters and result components from the ANSYS Workbench model – allowing for an effortless parameterization. Thanks to the seamless integration of ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Fluent in ANSYS Workbench, Optimus manages the parameterization and the workflow integration of any ANSYS multi-physics simulation.
Optimus orchestrates parametric simulation campaigns involving ANSYS Workbench, freeing users from repetitive manual model changes and data processing. Using Optimus’ Design of Experiments (DOE), Response Surface Modeling (RSM) and Numerical Optimization methods, engineering teams quickly identify product designs that meet a combination of objectives set by multiple (often competing) performance targets. At the same time, design constraints imposed by manufacturing realities or stringent regulatory and standardization requirements are consistently taken into account.
Optimus automatically modifies the ANSYS Workbench design parameters, updates the underlying models and extracts the result outputs (scalar and vectors) in an automated simulation or optimization process. To save valuable time during the automated simulation process, the interface for ANSYS Workbench provides support for server mode execution, keeping ANSYS Workbench open during the automated analysis sequence.
Built on Optimus’ User Customizable Interface (UCI) wrapper technology, the Optimus interface for ANSYS Workbench allows to access all advanced parameters and versions of ANSYS Workbench without any configuration programming - enabling the parameterization and workflow integration of any ANSYS Workbench model with just a few clicks. Thanks to a tight integration with ANSYS Workbench, Optimus supports the ANSYS HPC Value Pack.
