Learn from existing data and shorten the time-to-market for your products

We are very happy to announce that we've just released Optimus 2022.1, bringing significant features to fuel your innovation in virtual product design.

Optimus 2022.1 enable you to learn from existing data and shorten the time-to-market for your products.

Reuse existing simulation data to leverage knowledge for future products

Intelligent simulation and analysis methodologies allow companies to develop products faster, drop the cost – and significantly reduce the time-to-market. Optimus allows engineers and designers to capture and automate reusable engineering flows. Beyond that, the use of smart and AI-based algorithms enables them to unleash the potentials and overcome the toughest engineering problems.

Optimus 2022.1 introduces a powerful technology that automatically reuses existing data and automatically learns from it. Only simulations that are strictly necessary to complete a design exploration or design optimization will be performed.

With the new Optimus release, users can:

  • Add new outputs without the need to re-run existing methods from scratch.
  • Add new elements to an existing workflow and execute only the new part of each Graph. All the results that already exist, will be reused.
  • Retrieve lost simulation data.

Automated simulation processes evolve over your project time and with changing requirements. Optimus 2022.1 helps the user to optimally reuse the existing data and make the right decisions in the shortest time ever.

Interface to CAD/CAE tools

Optimus continues to reach out to a growing engineering community through its extensive set of engineering software interfaces. With a portfolio of more than 45 interfaces to leading CAD/CAE solutions, Optimus frees design engineers from repetitive, manual model changes and data processing during the execution of virtual experiments – tremendously saving time.

Optimus 2022.1 release supports the latest version of JMAG (21.0) and it introduces the support of the JMAG Efficiency Map studies. An efficiency map for an electric machine is a contour plot of the electrical machine efficiency on axes of torque and speed. It describes the maximum efficiency for any speed/torque combination and is a convenient way to represent the motor drive over a range of operating points defined by a driving cycle.

Additionally, Optimus 2022.1 introduces an interface to Grasshoper, a Rhinoceros 3D plugin that enables users to design and edit complex shapes through accessing parameters.
