Create faster engineering workflows and simplify the execution of simulation & analysis tasks

Leuven (Belgium), April 27, 2021 – Noesis Solutions NV, a developer of software solutions for PIDO (process integration and design optimization) proudly announces the availability of Optimus 2021.1. The latest release comes up with features that further simplify the integration of engineering processes in simulation departments.

In addition, Noesis Solutions is enthusiastic to announce the release of id8 2021.1. This release of the Noesis engineering collaboration platform offers powerful capabilities on the execution of simulation and analysis tasks.

Optimus: Create faster your engineering workflows.

Optimus is interfacing with many CAD and CAE 3rd party software and enables users to integrate complex engineering processes in an intuitive environment. The new version of Optimus is introducing a new tool that allows the user with a few clicks to configure faster the interfaces to the 3rd party software and make them available on the spot.

The new interface configuration tool provides several possibilities for the configuration of the 3rd party software interface. Users can either perform an Automatic configuration, to configure all the interfaces installed at your computer with minimum user intervention or Guided configuration, where users need to select the 3rd party software and the versions that are of interest. Additionally, a user can Import installation settings, to replicate a previous configuration with a single click.

Together with the new tool to configure interfaces to 3rd party software, the process integration in Optimus becomes better by supporting the latest versions of 3rd party software such as Abaqus R2021 and Ansys 2021R1, Cradle Cradle sc/Tetra, scFLOW, scStream v2021 and Romax Nexus R20.

id8: It simplifies the execution of simulation & analysis tasks.

A few months ago, Noesis introduced id8, as the engineering collaborative platform that is offering powerful capabilities and act as a portal for engineers, designers and analysts to perform complex engineering tasks in a simple way.

The id8 2021.1 version is introducing a new module as part of the id8 Execution application. The new module is called Launch and the user can submit any type of nominal simulation runs through id8. Using id8, users can save time by submitting simulations on different machines, locally or remotely, and retrieve results with a single click.

Users can setup a new launch of a simulation to any software via an intuitive and common wizard. In a few clicks the user defines, the required inputs, the software, the version, the installation that runs the simulation.

At the end of the computation, the user retrieves the results of the simulation via the web browser, regardless the location where the simulation took place. The output files can be used further in id8 Execution to create new projects based on workflow “best practices” templates.

For all other new features please refer to the release notes included in the Noesis download centre.
