JSOL Corporation and Noesis Solutions establish partnership to support electromechanical design optimization

Noesis Solutions announces a partnership agreement with Tokyo-based JSOL Corporation to enable electromechanical design optimization through the combined use of Optimus and JMAG software.

JMAG is a leading simulation software for electromechanical equipment design and development. JMAG accurately captures and quickly evaluates complex physical phenomena that occur inside machines. Both novice and expert simulation analysis users find it easy to perform the straightforward operations required to obtain accurate and reliable results.

The Optimus software suite from Noesis Solutions is a renowned solution for design optimization and process integration. It enables manufacturers to identify superior product designs, by managing a parametric simulation campaign using simulation software such as JMAG. Optimus users typically perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to define a virtual experiment plan that acquires the most relevant design information possible with minimum simulation effort. They then use this information set to explore the design improvement potential using Response Surface Modeling (RSM) methods, or to identify an optimized product design.

Optimus’ powerful Open Access technology enables interaction with third-party software programs such as JMAG. A wrapper tool provides an efficient way to wrap the parameterization and the command line of the software. Subsequently, Optimus creates the workflow, launches the virtual experiments, and post-processes their results.
