We are looking for an
Application Engineer (m/f)
to join the Noesis technical service centre in Leuven, Belgium.

Job description

We are looking for an ambitious Application Engineer to join our Noesis technical service centre in Leuven, Belgium. As technical experts, Application Engineers work with distributors/sales teams to technically sell Noesis’ products and services worldwide. Application Engineers also work in After-sales Support to deliver services and execute projects for our customers across the world.

  • Pre-sales Support
    • Demonstrate Noesis’ solutions at customer sites and at exhibitions;
    • Perform benchmark projects to demonstrate to customers the technical reliability and capabilities of our solutions;
    • Help both direct and indirect Noesis sales teams to organise and carry out pre-sales activities;
    • Create product-related demonstrations as part of the sales process.

  • Post-sales Support
    • Respond to customer response line queries;
    • Provide on-site support to customers;
    • Make follow-up calls;
    • Liaise with colleagues and distributors/partners as required;
    • Prioritise work according to call type, customers, commercial impact, etc.

  • Professional Duties
    • Conduct standard classroom training;
    • Provide on-site training to customers;
    • Technical account management;
    • Carry out projects to deliver customised solutions.

Profile

  • Education: MSc or PhD degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering)

  • Experience: ideally 3 to 5 years experience in Digital Simulation or Design Optimisation Software or a young graduate with a keen interest in our products and services

  • Location: Leuven, Belgium

  • Required technical skills:
    • Mathematical background in simulation based optimisation methods;
    • Experience with CAE software, e.g. FEA, CFD or other simulation software;
    • Language skills: English (fluent in written and spoken skills), French or German (ideally both), other languages would also be an advantage.

  • Required personal skills:
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills, as well as the ability to express ideas in a clear and concise manner (both verbal and written);
    • Ability to understand customers’ working environments, the physical problems they wish to solve and the obstacles they may face;
    • Ability to use problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations;
    • Able to work as a sociable, flexible team player with a competitive spirit and the drive to succeed;
    • A sense of initiative and responsibility, ability to work independently;
    • Ability to express value statements so as to demonstrate to customers the technical reliability of our solutions.
