OPTIMUS Robust Design

In today’s highly competitive world an optimal design has to be pushed close to the design limits. Even a small change in the design parameters may result in a product failure. As a consequence any variation of a design around its optimal value has to be evaluated since it could result in a design that does not satisfy the constraints.

In order to assess the influence of variability on the design, OPTIMUS contains Monte Carlo Simulation as well as a First-Order Second Moment method to estimate and improve the robustness of a given design.

OPTIMUS calculates and optimizes the probability of failure of a design with advanced reliability methods, including First-Order and Second-Order Reliabilty Methods.
