The OPTIMUS Global Optimization Module provides four different state-of-the-art algorithms – Differential Evolution (DE), Self-adaptive Evolution (SE), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Efficient Global Optimization (EGO) - for solving general constrained optimization problems.
Whereas local optimization algorithms are apt to find a local optimum, global optimization algorithms have a high probability of finding a global optimum, because they look around in the design space at many locations simultaneously.
